so you think it's pure coincidence that when they introduce Miles they show highlights of the only game we lost year? It's not like pulling highlights from LSUs 2011 season would be very hard.

It doesn't really bother me as much as some, but it's pretty obvious they are being dickheads.

The media always focuses on the negative first when they can even just slightly justify it.

Not a new approach by these tools.

I loathe that network. Won't watch unless I have to (Tigers). Won't listen to their syndicated radio. Won't read their magazine, however, Les is on TV. Exposure. Publicity. More Les. More commercials. More Gameday. These fickle, impressionable recruits eat this shite up.

What a shamefully pathetic monument to being second best

Right...being ranked at #2 in the nation is shameful.

Do you know how many times LSU has ended a season ranked better than #2 in its 100+ yrs of college football?

Some need to wake and smell the coffee.

I don't get it, do you guys watch ESPN, and just wait for them to mention LSU so you can run to the board and say they hate us?

SVP LOVES Les and has him on every single chance he has. Hell, Les sent him some shoes for chrissake.

The point is that for the entire SC segment they only showed crappy plays which happened on that day which won't be spoken of...

And the only thing I ever see when they talk about the 2007 New England Patriots is the Helmet Catch. Thats how it goes, it would be the same thing if it was USC.

espn being disrespectful to les quote: This has been the strangest and most tedious offseason I can remember. Well, we are bringing it on ourselves. LSU were the ones who decided not to show up for the national championship game, not ESPN or Bama or whoever. It was LSU's coach, not Alabama's or anybody else's, who decided to keep Jefferson in the game and keep running the same plays over and over instead of trying something, anything, else. It was LSU, not Alabama or ESPN, whose representative started whining publicly that "it's not fair" that we have to play big, bad Florida every year and made it look like we were scared of them or something. LSU, not Alabama or ESPN or whoever, put that idiotic #2 on the rings. LSU needs to hire someone in some capacity who knows something about PR. It's a freaking joke right now.

Cheezus crust people....every time the players look at that ring they will be reminded how they mialed it in and got embarrassed on National TV (albeit the lowest rated BCSNCG ever). Motivation is what that is there for, I hope Les makes em wear it every day and read aloud the side inscription to remind them how they let themselves down.

You are assuming that would be the reason les would put that on the ring. We all hope that is why, but being les we really have no idea. He might of really thought #2 was a real achievement?

Bad idea all the way around.

As far as #2 on ring...if it was approved by team and leaders then I have no prob with it. I do believe if LSU had not had as dominate/complete season and ranking coming into BCS game and still lost, they wouldnot have put it on the ring.

You nailed it.
If it makes Miles pissed off - GOOD! I'm still pissed off about the debacle on 1/9/12.

i dont know about you guys but it is annoying the crap out of me that everytime they introduce him on sportscenter they play that clip of bamas highlights in the national championship game. seems like they are trying to tick him off. i dont know why it would be so hard for them just to show something positive about LSU. and my last complaint they keep asking about why the rings says #2 nationally. thoughts other then espn hates us ?

ESPN may be showing just how totally inexplicable les's coaching decisions were in the nc game. Especially after the half.

I'm still amazed. It's mind boggling.

I like what Les said regarding the #2 nationally. So they can see it and be motivated for next year
