Enough about Les current situation, What are LSU's best options moving forward

Financially, what does LSU need to do to get back to elite status and an exciting football program to bring back fans to the stands. We are considered a boring football team with nothing exciting to watch for in our games.
Option 1.
LSU fires Les and pays his huge buyout. Bring in Jimbo Fisher and match his salary with better incentives or give him a raise.
Is this affordable and will we be able to bring in proven coordinators due to financial constraints?
Option 2.
LSU retains Les. Throw the bank at Tom Herman or another proven high profile OC and QB coach. Throw the bank at a proven high profile DC as well. If we can keep coach O that would be great.
Give Tom Herman or whoever the OC is the HCIW tag until Miles retires in the next couple of years. This way Miles can retire on a positive terms, be the great guy he is for the face of this program, keep recruiting at a high level, and hopefully retires after winning a NC. Miles can mentor the HCIW his recruiting techniques and his positive personality.
However, Miles has to understand that he needs stop his involvement concerning the offense.
What would be a better option? Feel free to post your realistic options and keep in mind LSU financially.

We aren't paying an OC 2 million dollars. Unless maybe he was coach-in-waiting, but that isn't happening.
And he's going to get a head coaching job this offseason for more than $2 million anyway if he wants it.

Herman ain't coming here as a very hot commodity to be OC. Fire peveto, Steele, let cam retire. Hire an OC and tell miles he is only the CEO. Maybe promote Frank Wilson to OC. Wilson will full control can't be any worse that Miles' hands on the wheel. No meddling in the offense. Promote yaw yaw to DC. Keep this recruiting class together and let him know that we expect better results next yr or he's done.

I really don't understand why everyone thinks Jimbo would come here. He has zero incentive to leave a storied program where he's been successful (partially as a result of the ridiculously easy schedule they play) and make a lateral move to a harder conference, for similar money. He can make it to the playoff nearly every year just by sleepwalking through the ACC.
Not only that, but why would you want Jimbo? Yeah, he's a good coach, but all the baggage surrounding FSU is not something I'd want here. And if I remember correctly, toward the end of Jimbo's tenure here as OC, a lot of the fan base wanted him gone...that was at least until Crowton came along

Not to be a dick, but these high profile coaches don't think like you.

I can think of 4 first round reasons. Jamarcus, EJ Manuel, Ponder and Winston.

LSU hasn't had an OC as good as Jimbo since.

We can afford a buyout though?
