Stay the frick off of the phone !! I’m assuredly not looking for upvotes here but if our young inexperienced coach handled his business with a little more forethought NONE of this ever happens. I hate King and Alleva as much as the next guy but the blame here gets laid at WW’s feet.

Disagree?? Love to hear your argument.

I think the only hope is that he was cooperating with the feds because he got was approached by them with something else less egregious they caught him doing. I think people just need to let this thing play out. There's a long way to go and a lot of coaches are going to be involved. LSU and Wade may be a small player in this by comparison. Nobody knows for sure where this thing is going.

And what's utterly disgusting is that the "bigger players" will still be coaching next year.

I agree to an extent.

I think the difference is LSU doesn't have the bagman infrastructure in place in basketball the way the bluebloods do. It's one of the many areas Wade correctly assessed we were subpar in when he took over.

Self, Calipari, K, Williams, Wright, etc don't have to "know" about these interactions or overtly direct them. There are alumni and booster networks in place that understand the recruits and players they need to take care of and they handle everything. I'm sure if Wade hadn't been caught and had been able to establish a presence here over 7-10 years he would no longer have been making those calls himself.

Just really bad luck

Maybe. There may be a paper trail with those and none with LSU. It's just gonna depend if there are 5 to do other schools or 30-40. There's just no telling how big this deal is going to get.

This thing is getting so much media attention it seems we are getting ready to feel the wrath of the NCAA. The wire tap conversation is pretty damning. If I witness some dude robbing a bank I don’t need a trial to tell me he’s guilty.

But, as of now, no one has witnessed anything and he's been talking in very vague circumstances. If you hear some hypothetically talking about robbing a bank but you can't find that they have any money, do you still say they're guilty?

Not even saying robbing a bank. Overhear them talking about "getting a lot of money quickly in a way that won't make a lot of people happy. Oh and we'll need to find a driver."

I mean that sounds a lot like someone planning a bank robbery. But if that's all you have....there's a lot of deniability in that. The problem is if you were planning to rob a bank, and in fact did rob the bank, there likely is other evidence you did so. Idk, we'll see what happens

Unless WW has photos of Self, Williams, and Coach K sailing the high seas on a LGBT cruise sipping a single daiquiri with three straws we are most likely fricked.

I disagree because of Wade's statement.

I believe there is more to the story here, as he suggested. The timing of it all is way too convenient. The media backlash against only us while Zion (and others) is still playing and no mention of their "situations", way too convenient. I will withhold judgement, as Wade asked, until the full truth comes out.

That's exactly why I'm in more of a wait and see more here. All of this just seems a little orchestrated somehow. Why is LSU really the first ones to come out in this? Wade doesn't strike as an idiot so I think it just needs to play out. Of course it's possible that's just what I want to believe and it's complete denial. But, I've seen situations where it seemed like all was lost and it worked out ok before.

NC State is next. Christ , I like TWO teams in college and it appears both are headed for trouble.

Basketball (all levels) and Soccer; the two most corrupt sports in all of history...one exception possible being pro boxing. Loved to watch the game until late 70's...two bits worth. Hopefully doesn't harm LSU across other sports.
