He looked like a liability at times last year , but he looked promising pre injury . I was just wondering how he fits into this defense...is he just a 2nd string nickel guy ? Or has he been passed up by all the young talent ? Just a special teams guy ?

He was definitely picked on a lot last year. I won't be mean, but it's a testament to this secondary that we haven't heard about him playing a significant role this year.

With CB depth and Savion Smith play in spring game, he will see more time in role at S which might suit him better

i agree. Most likely second string safety/nickel. Donte, toliver and shaq are our Nicole corners

Mascona said on his show yesterday that he was playing safety in the scrimmage in place of Ricky Jefferson, but thought Jefferson was just sitting for precaution.
