At the end of the season which offseason surgery will have helped the team more?

big daddy bowe definitely fixed his alligator arms due to bad eye judgement with his surgery.
DA remains to be seen!

So you want to know an answer for who overcame surgery the best when the season is over, right now?
Good luck

Hard to imagine ettling's improvement will exceed the effect on Bowe....that was a damn dramatic change.

Awesome question. Some of these youngsters can't even comment on this one because of their age. I would say that if Etling stays healthy, his will have helped the team more ONLY because he is a QB and gets more chance to show "why" his surgery helped. Great question.

Matt Mauck's 2002 ankle injury.
When he came back in 2003, he was a MUCH better passer than he had been, and kept his arse primarily in the pocket rather than scrambling around. Mauck won on grit before 2003...that injury forced him to become the passer LSU needed in 2003.

true, however, he still had great wheels and was a great scrambler.
we also still ran some option with him. go watch arizona game again.

Yeah I remember watching videos of mauck slinging the ball around sitting down while he was in a cast. Great point

Your focus should be an example to all of us fans that we should never look beyond the next game. As fans, we should never have that luxury. It could cost the team a championship run!

Yep. Lil Nickie Saban left him in when the game was out of reach and up 17 in the 4th against Vandy? or was it Tennessee?
