He has been my favorite player since his freshman year. Not much was expected of him, by fans who seem close to the program, but he has delivered over and over.
Thompson is a close second for players not expected to contribute offensively. He continuous to come up with a key hit when needed.

Armando Rios is that guy. Some of the biggest clutch hits in LSU history. Especially in Omaha.
