Gotta bump this thread. Just amazed at the guts and grit of Gavin Dugas.
The young man could have packed it in after night before last, but he put team first.
To see the discomfort on his face in his first at bat, I wasn’t sure he was going to make it through the at bat, much less drive a pitch out of the park.
To make that diving catch in the outfield, laying out and landing on his side shows the deep character that he has.
I have incredible respect for him and will be a fan of his wherever his future takes him!
Massive props, Gavin Dugas, a true Tiger forever!

Dugas is the perfect example. He was in agony on the ground for about a minute? Give or take? Paul barely made it out of the dugout to check on him. Dugas never checked up as he ran by him. If this team has quit, it’s only to return the favor to the coach who has quit them countless times. This team is playing for themselves.

Wow! That young man was in obvious pain. He kept heaving before coming to bat. I've had bruised ribs before. Ouch! So what does Gavin do at his first time at bat? He launches a rocket. Amazing performance.
