His knock has been pass catching ability, but after rewatching some of what Canada did with Pitt I can see him taking a lot of jetsweeps this year.

Prediction:

450 ish recieving yards
300 rushing yards

Minimum

We need SOMEONE to become that guy or it's going to be real scary when Chark graduates.

let's say we ran 20 jet sweep plays he would have to average 15 yards per carry. I doubt we run 20 jet sweep plays next season.

Someone will. Between Gage, Davis, Dillon, Anderson et al, at least two of those guys will step up and become reliable options, maybe more.

I have a suspicion that the days of the #3 LSU WR catching 10 balls over a whole season are over.

I'm gonna assume you didn't watch any of Pittsburgh's offense last year. Only reason you would make that comment.

We definitely need to get this kid on the field . He's too dynamic to be sitting on the bench but can he catch the ball on a consistent basis? Honestly ,from what I saw last year Dee Anderson was ahead of him. Dee just looks fluid out there , you can tell he's got "it".

Why not run 20 jet sweeps? Send a WR in motion every few plays. Make the defense focus on containing the edges and let Guice eat between the tackles.

"Always" is a little extreme. More believable to put a percentage on it. I'd say 70% wrong

I didn't but did they have 1 WR with 20 carries?

What?

How else would a WR get a carry unless it was a sweep play?

I don't know what you're asking in the first question.

As for the second question, I didn't suggest anything involving WRs getting carries on non-sweep plays. However to answer your question, some teams use WRs on option plays, usually involving a fake handoff to the RB with the QB running the opposite direction with the motion WR as his pitch option, so there's one way.

I doubt we'll run anything like that with Etling as QB, but I don't think the point is even relevant as I think you misunderstood my comment.

My point was about using jet sweeps and motion to open up inside running lanes by making the defense respect the edges.

Yeah

Quadree Henderson had 60 carries last year for over 600 rushing yards.

Watch Canada's Pitt offense and you will see how. Some of the most intriguing formations I've ever seen. Best way I can describe it would be read-pass triple option.
