What is the rant's opinion on who stays and who leaves?

Leave: Fraley, Poche, Bugg, Stallings
Stay: Robertson, Deichmann, Smith
Toss up: Freeman

I can't get a read on the Freeman pick.

IMO Fraley, Poche, stallings and smith are the only locks to sign. Bugg is probably a strong lean as well, the rest is a toss up.

Deichmann being a sophomore will probably stay and will still have leverage next year after he leads the Nation in hitting.

If Deichmann gets his contact rate up, he could lead the country in HRs.

And why is Poche and Bugg considered a lock to leave? Don't understand this at all...

He possibly could. He's had about 4 balls hit off the wall

Fraley is the only sure fire lock to me. Poché and Stallings are toss ups.

Both guys have minimal roles here, they will be used a lot more in the minors they will will be used at LSU next year.

Poche will get a decent bonus and really couldn't get much better. He's basically been the same pitcher for 3 years straight. With Newman not getting picked Bugg will have no shot at the closer which is really the only thing that could make him a better reliever is experience closing. Or 5 MPH to his FB. Dunn is good but not that good. He's been 88-91 since he got to campus. 6-6 should be throwing straight cheese.

Locks to leave: Fraley and perhaps Stallings. Don't think Stallings has much to gain by coming back.

Tossup: Poche and Smith

Returning: everyone else

IMO

I'll say this then I'm out. Scouts know what it will take to sign these players, if they don't think they have a chance at signing them then they won't draft them, especially in the top 30 rounds. Only unsignable high school guys get drafted and that could be for a few reasons.

I believe Fraley, Poche, and Stallings are gone. Stallings is gone because he's already had one injury. I'm sure that scared him enough to get him to move on.

Freeman is a weird one. He will likely be drafted higher next year if he continues playing like this, but will receive less money as a senior. It really just depends on if he wants another year of big time college baseball before moving on. Really just personal preference, I guess.

I could see Smith leaving, but with Poche gone and no real starters behind Lange, he could really boost his stock next year. He started playing well lately after a rough start. If Smith and McKay could get their shite together, both could be very high draft picks.

Robertson, Deichmann, and Bugg should stay.

Robertson might as well enjoy college. He'll likely get around the same money next year anyway. He's not an MLB player.

Deichmann has no reason to leave and if he can improve his bat, he could skyrocket up the draft boards. These last few weeks prove he can hit. If he can up that average, watch out.

Bugg should be a four-year player. Whether or not he thinks that is the question.

I'm absolutely shocked Newman wasn't selected.

Looking at the recruits, we pretty much escaped unscathed. Only one we'll likely lose is Pint.
