Can't believe that people think that Miles abdicated responsibility. He was communicating that he trusted his team. Miles made his decision and then let the team affirm it so they would be united.

Dude can't see a forest through the trees.

I never cared for Gottlieb anyway.

To think that he left the decision completely up to the players is naive.

Its quite simple, really.

"I think he's a good kid who made some mistakes. I want to re-introduce him to my team, but I want to make sure his teammates will accept him. Synergy and camaraderie are very important and I won't allow anything to interrupt that on my team. If his teammates won't accept him back and I force it on them, that hurts the core of my team. His talent might help, but I want guys who are going to play hard for each other. I asked my guys, they said they would accept him back if I allowed it."

These journalist will do this all day long. Nothing new. It's their self-righteous followers that will jump in with the "what a cop out, Les" and "winning is all that matters" garbage that I will usually rip on.
