Last week after seeing him make great plays on the ball at the end of the game, would he be a good fit at a safety position on obvious passing downs? I know he doesn't have the prototypical body, but he was able to use his speed so well in zone coverage just reading QB. He does often struggle in his 1 on 1 coverage as we've seen the past few years. Just a thought. What you guys think? My apologies if discussed already. Geaux Tigers!!!!

Somebody lit a fire under his arse last week and I'm glad it worked. He really played great.

He played nickel last week and that's where he needs to play.

He's going to help us out a ton playing the nickel position.

Teams have been avoiding DJ for much of the season. He's now at nickle so they can't really avoid him anymore. He plays the nickle position better anyways, IMO.

I understand your reasoning, but a few things to consider.

1. If DJ moves to safety during obvious passing downs who will replace him? Vincent? Sure he's talented, but he's also a true freshman.

2. I'm assuming you want him to take over the Free Safety spot in passing situations. That would be Delpit's spot. Delpit is playing pretty well. And although he is a true freshman, I can assure you he would understand coverage from the safety spot better than DJ.
