The second game in a row... We had a double off the wall and our guy at second didn't score...

The right fielder should have caught the ball.

He still would have scored, no?

Wouldn't have been the 3rd out.. and the next guy got a hit I believe. If we are talking about the same thing.

It was frustrating regardless though

No, he was going back to 2nd to tag up. Let it go.

We should've won by 2 or 3 honestly. Disgusting result

Too many mental errors plagued this team.

Should have won this game by a lot. However, great teams take advantage of the opportunities when they have them. CC did so more than LSU, hence why they won tonight.

Runner on 2nd rules for balls hit to OF:

Nobody out you're on the base to tag.
1 down you're halfway/part way based on depth of the ball.
2 down you circle the bases.

Freeman shouldn't have been running to tag up. That's a mistake. It's a basic mistake. If it was a call by Cain or an instruction by LSU, it goes against basic rules that everyone in the game at every level teaches from a basic, fundamental base running perspective.

If he's playing by those simple rules, he scores, CC just tied it on Newman and the game was still going.
