That game was set to go before midnight and Alleva called it early.

I'll concede even with the game the Heisman talk was slim, but 2,000 yards is a threshold that gets extra attention.

So are you saying the voter would think, he might have only rushed for 30 yards against a good defense but he rushed for 150 against Mcneese!!!

Canceling that game was a good call. It wasn't going to happen.

He canceled a game for the safety of the fans and the players.

Eat the whole bag of dicks of you don't think that ought to be a priority.

The heisman isn't won by what you do in cupcake games. You have to ball in your big games and that didn't happen.

He could've had 3,000 yards. He was never going to win the Heisman after that Bama game

There is so much moron in this post I don't know where to begin.

I was at the game until 10:00 PM when I left in a vicious lightning storm. I got to my truck at 10:45 PM just when the driving rain added to the lightning and set in for the next 2-3 hours... There was no football going to be played before 2-3 AM and McNeese wasn't going to stay for that.

The Alabama game lost Fournette the Heisman. Well that and Alabama padded Henry's stats vs Auburn by giving him the ball 47 times so he'd be ahead of Fournette in rushing yards for the season

I'm all for giving Alleva the boot. We don't need to invent things to make the case.

Playing that game starting at 11:45 or so was a bad idea. Players tired, injury, just not worth it.
