Does UNO have a better bullpen than us?

It sure seems like it. Is it that they get more work since our starters have been so consistent. Or maybe it is that the game means much more to them than us. Either way, they should be congratulated and respected for both of the efforts they have giving us in kicking our a$$e$. It will make us a better team at the end of the season.

From what I've seen I would say we are in the bottom 35% of college d-1 bullpen.

Talent; no.

Situational pitching; a wash.

Our hitters just need to step up.

Our bullpen did fine last night. Blair Frederick would have never been in the game had this not been a 15 inning midweek game. It was his first career appearance. He wasn't credited with any earned runs, but he only recorded 1 out of the 4 batters he faced. The only other guy out of the bullpen that had a poor outing last night was Hunter Keil

Our situational hitting was just flat garbage last night. 3/17 with runners in scoring position and 15 runners left on base isn't going to get it done against anyone.

Our bullpen has been good except for the first UNO game and Peterson against Texas Tech. Every other games it's been hitting that was to blame for the loss

Bullpen compared to the last couple of years is actually pretty good. Newman, Reynolds, Bain, and Gilbert are reliable guys. Kiel and Peterson I think will improve as the year goes on. Won't be surprised if Hess is moved to a bullpen role. I'd much rather an extra arm on the weekends than a 4th starter. When the time comes and you need a 4th starter he's your guy but the rest of the year I would have him come out of the bullpen.

Last night was lack of situational hitting.
