Does this game share the thoughts of the 2003 Ole Miss game?

LSU @ Ole Miss...if LSU loses the Rebels win the SEC West, win, and we are in great shape to play in the NC.

LSU @ Alabama...if LSU loses the Crimson Tide win the SEC West, win, and we are in great shape to play in the NC.

I say that Ole Miss was the game I wanted more than any other in regular season play in my life. This is second for me (it means a lot, but several intangibles have changed since 2003...ie two national titles plus the fact we will have another chance next year in all liklihood). I am 24. Am I wrong to think this?

Yes, his Sr. season. No. 3 LSU (8-1, 5-1) and No. 15 Ole Miss (8-1, 6-0). LSU wins 17-14 thanks to two missed FGs by my favorite Rebels Jonathon Nichols and thanks to a trip-up on 4th-and-10 with 2:00 left.

Hey, didn't Ole Piss win a "co-championship" that year?

I remember sitting in them endzone bleachers and 1st play Mauck threw a pick 6. That was a great game.

We came 1 inch from losing that game...if the ole miss wide receiver doesn't step out of bounds at midfield because he ran the ball all the way down to the goal line.

It's these types of plays that most teams that win championships experience.

LSU faces a lot of adversity in 2 weeks. It may come down to a few inches to beat Bama.

I would love to watch this game. Its the only game I have missed since 2000. Is this possible?

Unlike Ole Miss in 2003, this is technically not true. Alabama still has two SECW games after this one (MSU & Aub) and LSU could still win the division, however unprobable. In 2003, it literally was for all the marbles.

eta. I was at that game - probably the best road game experience ever.
