Next year? Let's face it, guys like PP, Holiday, & Sheppard don't grow on trees. Our Special Teams have been on fire as of lately.

Yes.

While disappointing, 2010 will be good motivation for Russell.

The kid is going to own in next year with a real QB getting him and Randle the ball.

History says no. More likely to be Randle on PR and who knows on KR.

Would like to see it but am afraid he'd make too many mental errors as a punt returner. As I mentioned in another thread, Shep unfortunately does not seem like a solid college football player. Human highlight reel in high school doesn't always translate to production in college.

Seems like he would be a liability on Punts, we shall see. I really think Mathieu and Claiborne will see some action. Claiborne is right there with PP as far as speed, and he looked real good when he returned one this year. He's got my vote, right now, but I'm hoping someone else can step up like a RS. Agree with Randle on the possession punts.

If he was our read option QB, or wildcat QB, no one would be saying he was overrated.

Based on what I've seen, no. He hasn't exhibited the 'wiggle' it takes to make an impact on ST.

Let's keep in mind of something.

Randle did take one punt the distance that was called back.

He has got to be one of the top guys.

I think that we should let RS return kicks with someone like Claiborne or even Boone. I don't know if I would let him return punts, I also don't think I would let RR return punts as we need him for offense and really can't afford to have him get injured on something like that. I also think that if we let RS return kicks it might get him more into the game and get a better feel of the game. I also think that when he has open space, he is just really hard to control. Either way, I think that we are really going to have a great special teams again this next year. I don't think it will be as good as this year, but I don't think it will be too bad.

Tyrann Mathieu
Jahkari Gore

That's who I'd like to see returning kicks/punts.
