Is anyone worried about this due to the recent tornado destruction?

Teams that have a cause to play for always seem to play above their heads. They might feel they're playing for the region and not just OU.

If Tom Rinaldi makes an appearance I'm going to be even more worried.

I think the people who they "are playing for" might have to actually give a shite if OU wins or loses for there to be any emotional advantage. I'd venture to guess that most of the people who had their homes reduced to rubble aren't looking to the OU baseball team to give them a lift.

OU tornado article

It's this kind of thing that I was talking about. A "bubble" team has won their tourney and a regional while using baseball as a distraction.

Very common theme that underachieving teams have used to propel themselves into playing better than they really are. Just food for thought.

I don't know, OKST lost to Iowa State in football in 2011 when they had something to play for.

I think all that off-the-field stuff is WAY overrated. Might make for a good speech before the game, but once on the field it's gone, especially in baseball, a "relatively" non-contact sport.
