Does MSU benefit by playing teams after LSU beats them up?

So far MSU has played Auburn and Kentucky the week after those teams played the physical style of LSU. They also play Alabama the week after we play the Tide. It seems like that is an advantage for MSU.

I remember seeing a stat a few years ago where most teams lost the week after playing LSU supposedly because of the physical toll they took by playing LSU the week earlier.
