That is BS. You vocal few still think the majority of people want Miles gone and that is simply not true.
By the way, that last statement you made is total hogwash.
If he is such a bad coach as all you negatigers claim, then almost ANY coach should be a good replacement for Miles. Your statement that "Most" would be happy with a good replacement is garbage.

Are you kidding? Most of the rants have said he can barely tie his shoes without killing himself.
Once again, "Most" people do not want him replaced by anyone. "Most" people like the guy and think 51-14 in 5 season is a tremendous job.

I can tell you are emotionally attached to several of these threads.
Seriously though:
Did you approve of the offense output/performance this year?
Will you be happy with 106th ranked offense next year?
Will this Crowton offense be able to win the SEC?
All I am asking is your opinion.
Posted on 12/15/09 at 10:29 pm to TigerMyth36
when players look to the sideline and describe it as chaotic, something is off. when a coach forgets the universal sign for time out, something is off. im not saying he is destroying this team....i just hope he is just having an off two years ...

Of course not but I also don't think you fire a coach for one bad season. And it was not a bad season in my mind 10-3 is a great season.
If we had gone 6-6 with the same stats Crowton would have been fired. At 9-3, he is never going to be fired bad stats and all.
Next season, even if we go 9-3 again, if the offense it still the problem from getting over the hump then I think Miles will fire him or at least feel some real heat, not just heat from the vocal minority.
I know most of you think that if we have a repeat next year that Miles will be fired but in my lifetime, I have seen one coach fired at 9-3 and that worked out just great for Nebraska.
If you read my posts, I did not defend Crowton one time. I simply disagree when people make claims of Miles calling every play, when there is ZERO proof of that. GO back to my first post, I said it might be true but there has been zero indication that Miles is making the call.s

We agree on that entire post.
I don't think Miles is calling plays either. I doubt Miles goes anywhere, but seeing Crowton leave would not leave me saddened in the least.
BTW: Newsome is really a nice guy. edited it out b/c I knew it would turn into a bashing fest of the man.

You keep taking the fact that he likes Miles at LSU as a negative sign. He may actually know and like Les Miles. Unless he came out and said, I think Miles and Crowton are idiots and I love them at LSU then you may be putting more into what he said then he intended.
Is Saban a better coach? Yes, He is probably the best head coach alive, but he makes TONS of mistakes along the way. And if he is the best should everyone fire their HC until they find someone to beat him. Lots of people did that against Bear, and it did them no good.

That is TOTAL BS. You are assuming that people think like you. I have personally talked to two knowledgeable college analysts – Charles Davis, who played at UT and did the color for our 07 champ game, and Terry Bowden who coached and also was a TV analyst. Both have high regard and a lot of good things to say about Miles.
Look, I agree that the team was very frustrating and I think we should blow out Tulane, ULL, and the other also-rans, but I look at it this way, we played terrible and STILL ended up 9-3. If you look back at the beginning of the season, that is what most people expected, isn't it?

There you have it the raw truth.....They call him names to piss us off and secretly hope we keep him forever, because they know Saban will dominate SEC West while Miles is here.

Well, He didn't call them idiots. He was more happy with the status quo. That is as close as I can or will get.
I got the impression that O.N. was confident that Bama had the better coach. Homer or Not.
Bottom Line:
Does Miles deserve to be fired? NO.
Is he the Fool people make him out to be? NO.
Does the Offense need major improvement on almost every level conceivable? YES.

half the people saying fire miles have no clue who they think should be his fill in... and the other half just throw around names they hear other people say

Scoop, do you ever get the feeling you were born into the wrong family?
It's a damn shame when the Bammer fan has a better handle on LSU's situation than many of it's so called fans.

we played terrible and STILL ended up 9-3.
