the tournament? Are there any stat geeks that can weigh in on what our RPI would be and if finishing 20-11 would be enough?

Here is our remaining schedule:

I think 11-4 would be more of a sure thing.

But beating possibly #1 Oklahoma (top 5 RPI for sure) can alter what we NEED to do so much.

I think finishing 13-5 in conference will be within a game of winning the SEC. So that should be enough.

That's about where we need to be. There's no easy answer, because it'll depend on exactly who we beat, what other teams do, and (most importantly) what the committee decides. A good showing in the SEC tournament would also help. But I'd say 10 more wins should be enough to get in.

Depends on the losses and how bad we look doing it. Need to beat SC and OU.

It seems in the past, we've earned nothing on name recognition mainly because we're a football school. However, Ben Simmons' name alone should get us in the tourney if we're a bubble team.

I wouldnt want to bet my life on that considering how wacky the committee is at times.

True. I'm counting on the NCAA's greed to win out in the end. They'll recognize Ben Simmons can increase viewership of the tourney.

depends on who else does what. Best that record will do for you is a play in game, 12-12, 11-11.

More likely, NIT. Not a bad gig. home game vs teeny conference reg season conference champ that loses in their conference tournament.

I had not considered this. If the NCAA truly wants people to tune in for one of the play in games, why not have LSU and Ben Simmons tip off the tourney?

shite, shite, shite.

20-11 would mean lsu would be 16-7 with all top players which is like 70% win percentagge. Using that percentage you could say lsu would have had around 22 wins for their season if everyone played every game. I think the committee would take that into consideration. Plus we could win 2 or 3 games in the tourny to shove it up peoples pipe

Basically double digit losses, even just 10 puts us squarely on the bubble do to out OOC being so bad and losing so many of those games. I think the only "sure thing" right now is 22-9 or less.

Again. If we are on the bubble the committee will want to see ben simmons the in the tourny. I think 10 and 5 probably gets us in. Unless the losses are emabarresing and we bomb in the sec tourny
