Does Brody Drost need to become a mainstay in the lineup?

Or is it Gio’s position to lose?

Our outfield is loaded. Drost is legit. Crews has one spot locked 100%

Drost has earned a place in the lineup. Beautiful swing!

I think it may be a match up decision. Brody doesn't look like he's comfortable facing LHP yet.

Gio hit .350 in his first like 40 at bats last year and started off this year .333. Best scenario is having Drost in left and Gio in center

The fact that we haven't seen Dugas get to play third base yet makes me believe this isn't a possibility. It sucks, because that is the best case scenario. If Dugas could just be serviceable at third base, it's the absolute optimal lineup.

That’s why I think ultimately it could be Doughty at third with Dugas at second

That's fine too, but the same thing I said applies. Dugas should be at second or third base right now.

Idk there are 3 or 4 batts at the end of the lineup that are pretty much automatic outs that Gio could bat for.

Not sure where you are getting 3-4 from, but Gio can't catch to replace Milazzo and he can't play third to replace Thompson.

LF: Drost
CF: Gio
RF: Crews
1st: Morgan
2nd: Doughty
SS: Arnold
3rd: Dugas (can he field 3rd?)
Catcher: Milazzo (with Wyeth to PH)
DH: Beloso

Drost and his two FR teammates are setting the pace at the top of the lineup. Impressive.

I think he’s athletic enough to competently field every position on the field.
