At 6'7 he should easily be pumping at least 93 consistently. I don't know if he was working on a specific pitch or he is just consistently throwing BP

But does he just sit at 85 all day or does he ever get up to 93?

I talked with him at Bregman's debut last year and he said he is an 85-89 guy. The more I watch him, he is an 85 guy. He's nowhere near 89. That's ok if that fb has movement, he Hawaiian great breaking ball he can throw for a strike and swipe out change.

When you say things like this you lose all credibility moving forward. As for Beck, he has the the prototypical build to be able to develop a little more velocity with some more maturity and the proper mechanics. With his breaking ball if he can throw consistently 89-90 he he would be able to get a lot of outs in the SEC.

I see a ton of potential in the guy with routine development

he short arms his delivery. no way he greatly increases his fast ball velocity until he changes that and I doubt he will because it's a major overhaul. he only hits mid to upper 80's because of his size and strength. if pedro Martinez had had his size he would have been 100+ easy.

If the team ever gets in a brawl I want Beck and Hess out front!
