This is a genuine inquiry. Does anyone here still believe that O can bring an SEC championship to LSU? If so, what is the basis of that belief?

For my part, I think it has become abundantly clear that O lacks the leadership, vision, intelligence, organizational skill, and tactical acumen to ever win the conference. Even his first full year of recruiting has been lackluster thus far.

Given that I can't envision Coach O winning the SEC, there is no compelling rationale for retaining him, assuming LSU still aspires to championship level football. Keeping him merely delays the inevitable while he does further grevious harm to the brand and the program.

Win a title?

I question whether we'll win more than 1 SEC game this year.

I'm looking at our S&C program.

Sure, line depth is a concern, but our starters are getting pushed around from the opening whistle. That should never happen vs a Sun Belt team.

Dare I say it's time to move on from Tommy Moffitt?

Not a chance. And unfortunately I think he'll be back next year too.

There are still people who think he can do it in 2017.

No - I do not believe he will win an SEC title at LSU.

I believe he will coach the 2017 and 2018 seasons and be terminated. I believe he will win between 8 and 11 more regular season games, total, before he is discharged - assuming he coaches all regular season games this year and next year.

I was in the camp of not freaking out over O's first year. We may struggle a bit this year but don't overreact and put it all on O. After what I'm seeing I'm starting to change my mind. This has all the hallmarks of a coach completely out of his league.

No. The only leverage he has to remain HC is the f'ing buyout. Why is Alleva still employed at LSU?

No that chance has passed him by. with this years performance and now questions about his tenure here I don't see any way he recruits at the level needed to compete.
