Does anyone remember the student section yelling board game phrases in the PMAC?

I can't even remember the years this was done. Just a memory I've had and thing about sometimes. MIGHT have been when tazmin was a freshman. Anyway. Everytime something big happened they'd yell out board game phrases. "YAHTZEE!" "JINGA!" "DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $100".... Stupid shite like that. It sounds dumb but was really fun. Just wondering if anyone else remembers what I'm talking about.

I was young teen and thought it was fun. It was more taunting the other team than anything... Eventually they started reaching when they were trying to come up with new shite.

I loved back in the day when the studens had the newspapers when the visitor starting lineup was being called out. Once they finished they chunked the newspaper on the floor

Does anyone remember the student (pretty sure he posted here) around the 2001-2004 era that would be put on the jumbo tron and would do some weird electric shock shite?!
That guy was awesome. Even the elderly ladies would get a good chuckle.

Back in the day when I was in the Shaq Pack the advocate wrote a hit piece on us and the profanity we used during the game. The very next game the entire student section sat in complete silence for the first 5 minutes of the game. The pmac was a morgue
Thinking back we probably did cross a line doing a Florida St type chant yelling homosexual at Christian Laettner.

A couple things I remember back in the good ole days of the basketball student section
Newspaper
The 2 "Shake" guys (one guy shook like he was being electrocuted and the other guy was kinda fat & did some kind of head bang routine)
The "Hey Ref You Suck" chant
E Eric Guirard (or a guy who looked just like him) used to go to alot of games. The whole student section would see him come in and start chanting "E GUARANTEE"

Have you ever just stopped and taken a look at the students that go to basketball games?
Nothing that collecting of geeks does and says surprises me in the least.

It was Lee Feinswog. Laettner flipped the campers on the ramp getting off the bus and it went from there. Those were the days...now our students sing about fellatio. Guess we've always been a bunch of dumb asses.

When's the last time you've seen the student section live? My teenager and his friends fight over who gets to come. Lots and lots of coeds. Not many dorks I've seen trying to get with them

I'll be honest, I was a student when the geeks were at an all time high. I was known as the one frat guy in the student section... I believe there was only room for 1 collared shirt and I was that shirt, however, I really enjoyed meeting those guys and talking hoops. They were fun. I didn't wanna party with them Friday night, but I was totally cool talking hoops with them at the game.
However, from what I've seen, there have been a ton of ladies in the SS this year and the guys seem less "different". I've always said just bring a couple friends down there and it doesn't matter who sits around you...
