Does anyone remember how the SEC Tourney worked in 96 & 97?

Double elimination, but it was hard to figure out who you played next.

Yes 6 team double elim with 2 playin games.
Same format as regionals in D1 through 1998 plus the playins.
Still used today in alot of conf tourneys and regionals in D2 and D3.

They could have just taken the top four teams and made a true double elimination tournament this year.
