Does anyone feel like we're better than a lot of people think we are?

I keep reading about LSU is the same old team and Etling is a huge liability. I think we're a very, very dangerous squad. Tons of talent, best coordinators in the country and we have the best defensive player in the country coming back.

Only unit I'm concerned about is D-Line, which is pretty surprising since that's our HC's position group.

Yes, but I am more concerned about the offensive line than the defensive line.

Canada is good, but in no way can we label him as the best OC in the country...

i'm still a little bit concerned about running and stopping the run against the big dogs.....albeit, the big dogs may only be 1 or 2 teams this year, its still my concern.

i think the depth at dline he's building is what is going to bring us back to lsu of old, but we're not quite there just yet......

We still have a lot of glitches to work out. We can potentially be very good, but that remains to be seen.

I don't think we really know until after the Auburn game. Miss St will give us a general idea though.

I think there are OL talent problems but I don't see anyone dramatically better than LSU in the SEC. Think there's a chance to win every game on the schedule.

It would be a coach of the year type performance though

He has coached two games here, and beat Clemson once, and people make him out to be the best OC in existence.

Its Les Miles lag. No one has seen LSU wide open in 10 years. I like where we are.

I think we're going to be in the top 10 after tomorrow. After that - one game at a time.

No doubt we are going to surprise some people this season.

Sign me up for the underrated team.

Our DL unit is extremely good, it's lacking depth. Lac is an experienced leader who eats up blocks (and gets ZERO credit) to allow our LBers to crush people. Lawrence will be 1st team All-SEC next year and a high draft pick. Gilmore is an experienced SR. Ed Al will be dominant in the near future.

Well a few people believe we can win the West others have us 3rd or 4th. So to answer your question. Yes and no.

The great thing about this weekend is we will know about how go we are. Maybe we look like world beaters, maybe we are in for a long season. I personally feel we will fall somewhere towards the top of the SEC.

Maybe so on the "Purple shades" but this team has looked very, very good early. The Eye candy test is there and that's a good start for the novice follower. Let's throw in a few "FACTS":

1. LSU has best 2 coordinators in college football
2. LSU has coach who is focused on proving himself
3. LSU freshmen are legit
4. LSU starting QB is a gamer (F the media)
5. LSU has the best running back in college football
6. LSU has best edge rusher in college football

I'll take our chances against anyone. Geaux Tigers!

That's my fear. I see a lot of people legitimately thinking MSU will give us a good test and I just don't get it. I fully expect us to win comfortably by 2 TDs.

But we've had some close games with them, actually lost a few years back, and just haven't been the same since tRematch of the Century.

So I feel like we should be an elite team that should only struggle with 2-3 teams this year, but recent history has me 2nd guessing.

He also was the only OC up for the Broyles award (nations best coordinator) last year dipshit. You gotta better OC, then name him.

Jimbo Fisher
Lane Kiffin
Linoln Riley
Tee Martin
Sonny Cumbie

Are all very good and have proven themselves.

I think Canada is great but not ready to label him the best in the country.

What I like about LSU this year is that everbody's "HUNGRY".

CEO is hungry to prove he's HC material.
OC's are hungry to prove that their worth being paid the highest in the country.

Guice is hungry to prove he's as good as LF7.

Young players are hungry to prove on both sides of the ball.

We'd settled into a laissez faire attitude with Les Miles and everyone was too comfortable.

Maybe now we will have some fire in our bellies.
