Does anybody think Corey Raymond may be a DC next?

I know there was interest in him last year. I would think he would be at the top of the list for the DC position available now.

Just texted someone this very thing. Could only bolster his recruiting prowess.

Until a candidate emerges, he has to be the in-house favorite in my opinion.

Georgia was trying to snatch him last year. I mean there is no denying his success in maintaining the DBU title.

Hopefully he just gets a nice bump in salary if Busch leaves. I would rather make a big time splash with the DC position.

But, on the other hand, I said the same thing when Orgeron was hired.

Raymond is a known entity from a coaching perspective at this point. I suspect O knows if Corey's capable of doing the job. If he thinks he is, he would certainly be the logical guy for multiple reasons.

If it gets to the point that he's our best option, we are in trouble. No offense to the dude, but LSU just won the NC and should be able to attract top quality candidates. I don't see how Woodward would go for that anyway.

I rather keep Busch over Raymond. Might be in the minority on that but Busch would more than likely run a similar scheme, who knows what Raymond would. This is moot if they hire outside the building obviously.

Funny looking at people once again jump on a bandwagon against someone just because he's not their guy. Nobody here knows enough about what Corey Raymond knows about calling defenses.

He's been the DB coach for almost a decade...i think hes pretty comfortable where hes at and likes to work with them closely...and clearly has had success so would be confident to say that interest has been shown to him before.

Has there ever been a position coach that has performed better than Raymond? The intangible benefits alone reap huge rewards for LSU.

My God this board is full of stupid people.
