Do you think the "check with me" tires our O-line out?

Think about it. They are in their "down" stance for over 20 seconds straight on most plays. Does this affect their stamina? Just curious about the Rants opinion of this. I think it has to affect them to some degree.

ell no. It just looks stupid, confuses our offense, gives the other teams D a little time to salivate and crash that option to the short side of the field.

Raparoot,

It absolutely tires out our O-Line. This has been discussed, but few people realize how hard it is to have the O-Line to be squatting for 20-25 seconds each offensive play. Not only that, but the players lose a good 10-15 seconds that they would be able to semi-rest in a huddle.

The dumb thing I see about the "check with me" is that it is supposed to help your offense adjust to the defense. It obviously doesn't seem to be working. Why not just go back to the normal offense with the play you originally called and see if it gives the offense a little continuity?

I absolutely hate when they do this. Very frustrating to watch.

They need to just left Jefferson call his plays. I'd rather take my chances with him.
