Do you think Canada will employ a bunch receiver formation?

Sort of like what the Saints use with three receivers bunched together closer in to the tackle. If used correctly it is terribly effective.

Write him a letter. Surely he's a reasonable man.

I think he will use 4 wr set to line up as triple te most of the Bama game to confuse the hell out of lil Saban. :)

I have no idea why some people are LOLing this suggestion. Bunch formations are a very effective way of confusing coverage and getting easy wins in the short to intermediate passing game (which, I might add, is our starting QB's forte, not the deep ball).

Hell, LSU grad Andrew Coverdale literally wrote the book on bunch formations, and I think he succinctly explains why it's effective in saying:

quote:

"The thing that stops successful passing the most, whether against pattern-read defenses or not, is pattern recognition…Because many of the throws are timed to spots in zones, full recognition and reaction in time to make a play is a more difficult prospect."

Yeah, who wants to use a formation that makes it "difficult" for players to read and react in time to stop a plus play. It's better to line up in the I formation and run into the teeth of a 9 man in the box look.
