We get it that Matt Flynn doesn't watch sports. No need to run that joke into the ground anymore.

Agree, but he does bring creed and substance and his voice and delivery have no where to go but up.

The Todd Peterson thing is pretty funny to me, but I agree Hester is dry. He brings on good guests and I like some of the inside stories of the glory days

It is, but he runs the jokes into the ground. I do have to admit though, I did start the Chris Reid and Nick Brosette jokes today in the huddle.

Matt is actually pretty good at his job. I hate the beer segment . Hester was a great player but not so much as a host

He’s better than tbob for what that’s worth

The rant sure does like to shite on tbob for no reason. I'm not sure how anyone can objectively think Hester is "better". He not as articulate, knowledgeable, or entertaining. He's getting much better but he still has the training wheels on.

I’d much rather Hester’s laid back style than Scone’s condescending tone and obnoxious fake laugh.

I agree. I can’t stand Moscona. He comes off as an arrogant a hole. Hester seems much more respectful and genuine. I would love to see him on the SEC network.

T Bob is the worst though.

Would bet everything I own that scone has never been in an actual fight where someone was punched in the mouth, in his life.

100%. Ponamsky gets a lot of hate on this board but the Jordy/Ponamsky morning show was the favorite part of my day while sitting in Houston traffic with a cup of coffee, while it was on. Now I listen to Rod Ryan play imagine Dragons and 21 pilots on repeat every day because Tbob is the worst thing I’ve ever heard on a radio in my life.

I am really curious what sports talk shows this board considers good?

Not counting the GOAT SVP and Rassilo or the original TD radio show.

I typically turn the radio off at 6.

Hanagriff and Ott is decent during baseball/football/basketball season. Boring in the off seasons.

Mosconas show is informative and can be interesting. He is very hateable as a person but his show works for me to have on in the background at my desk. Sometimes I turn it up, sometimes I turn it off depending what he is talking about.

The Hester thing is boring.

Jordy and tbob show is an abortion of radio.

Honest answer: I enjoy AFR. Matt's job isn't to be my friend, it's to entertain me. He's good at that.

LSU sports radio is lacking IMO. they could do so much more it seems like they talk LSU for like 15 minutes then saints like 25 minutes then just bullshite the rest.

There’s gotta be better sports radio I know it hasn’t kicked in full gear yet but damn they are so bad.

Maybe I’m just partial to radio talk show hosts who have a very strong opinion even though they never played a sport. Like I’m fine with non-athletes doing talk shows but it’s always those guys who seem to have the most vocal opinions on topics compared to former athletes such as Hester.

The only two shows worth anything are AFR and sports today. The morning show is a joke and has been since Derek left and honestly I can't even listen to hester and Flynn at all. Hester tries at least but Flynn is just garbage as a radio personality
