Do we really just brush off losing to UL?

We’ve lost 4 of the last 6 against them. I get the “it’s their Super Bowl” blah blah. But if this team wants to win a championship they have to set a higher standard.

Nah I’m good with winning SEC and ranked series bro. You set your standards and I’ll set mine.

Name the last national championship winning baseball team that didn’t lose to a lesser team at some point in the season.

We will all wait.

Yes, brushed right off. Np

Edit to say: if you are unable to put any midweek game at this particular time in space with all of the pieces moving around and the far more critical path issues for coaches to work out rn.. ( testing pitching..COLEMAN HUGE, stretching others, mixing up things whe our heart n soul is on the shelf ( Dugas)...and given USL has never been a typical layup anyway.. pick your battles.

Another dumbass football fan who judges baseball by the same standard.

Baseball is a game of bounces that sometimes don’t go your way. That’s why many games are played to determine the best.

The majors play 162 games. World Series winners like the Astros lose multiple times to last place teams and teams with losing records. Do Astros fans panic and melt like this board after every loss to the Pirates?

I know for some Astros fans, that might not be the best example but the point is, most long term MLB and college baseball fans understand how a season plays out—and it ain’t like football.

I think what we have done in the SEC schedule against 10x better competition for 15ish games so far outweighs one game where we used bullpen arms mostly.

Edited to also add this is a stupid fricking thread.

I think we should harp on it. I think regardless of upcoming games or how the season plays out we need to focus on that loss. Winning a championship is fine and all but I want to make sure that we concentrate on a midweek loss.

No, we brush off losing to ULL. No matter how much tiny dick syndrome they have they will always be ULL

In the long run losing to them does not rally matter for the ultimate goal.

The Astros won 106 games last year, which is a lot in MLB. That winning percentage translates in 7.85 wins in a 12 game season. You simply can not view wins and loses in a sport like baseball to one where you only play 12 games. A sport like football where a better team can simply overpower a smaller team to one that requires a unique and difficult skill like hitting a baseball

Not really. ULL has some pretty good hitters.
