Is the name Tiger Stadium so sacred that it will never change in our lifetime?

The name Tiger Stadium identifies one of the iconic venues in the history of CFB. A name change would be sacreligous.

Will always and should always be Tiger Stadium (better known as "Death Valley"). Tiger Stadium is the only name that will ever get me truly excited!!!

We should change the name of the stadium the day we change our uniforms

Musberger: "You are looking at a live shot from Tiger Stadium, here in Baton Rouge, La".....still gives me chills. I know, I hate Musberger too but I like it when he says that.

I like that fact that we haven't whored out the name to someone or to honor a past player or coach.

As far as naming Tiger Stadium after someone, by state law that person has to be dead before it can happen.

How many NCs did Mac win?
I'm sure you know the answer to this question.

You also know that Coach Mac was a man of character, who loved this university, whose players absolutely loved playing for him, who was the epitome of class and dignity in both victory and defeat.

He soothed the daddy issues our program had when the rock star NC winning coach bolted. He fielded some great teams the right way. He just couldn't get over the Bama / Bear hump.

There are more than a few NC-winning coaches who pale in comparison to Coach Mac.
