I mean, they kind of matter. But nowhere near as much as taking care of business in the SEC. Its still not exactly encouraging to lose 6 of them.

They either do or they don't.

They do matter. But not as much as SEC games. I know, not exactly a groundbreaking analysis.

They all matter as far as I'm concerned.

Obviously not. The attendance was what, maybe 2000?

People will naturally get turned off. You build it they will come? Well it is crumbling. Some stay home and find something else to do.

Apparently they matter for the smaller schools but not for the bigger schools. Seems like it should be one way or the other.

Probably a lock for national seed if they win all mid week games.

A loss here and there in mid-week is no big deal but eventually you are who your record says you are.

They don't matter when you're 22-8/23-7 in SEC play but they very well may when they go 17-13 in conference.

Midweek games matter if you want to prove that the success you had on the weekend can be carried over or maintained. Momentum is huge in this sport. And this team has proven time and time again this year that they are incapable of sustaining momentum from a weekend series into a midweek game. How many Friday starts have we lost this year? It's like starting over after a midweek loss.

I think the line is 20. 20 SEC wins and you're a national seed no matter what. But 18-19 wins and the OOC is very important to hosting/seeding.

Yes they matter. They matter in a sense to show you how shitty this team really is.

It's annoying and highlights the flaws in the team, but there's clearly a lack of energy and consistent starting pitching/bullpen on these midweek games that probably won't exist in regional/super regional. Having Lange/Poche/Walker with Gilbert/Hess/Newman out of the pen against these smaller teams is a much different proposition than the pupu platter we throw out

I get frustrated with the pitching carousel during mid week games.

What? NO

You realize if LSU was undefeated in midweek games they'd be 38-11? So yes they'd be a lock to be a national seed if the season ended today.
