I think the average Ranter cares less how LSU wins, provided that they do. Last night came needlessly close, as many saw it, to a loss. I do not care if CLM resurrects the triple option or the single wing so long as LSU plays in the SECCG in December.

Well LSU sure as hell didnt watch game film of Miss St.first game. SMU threw for over 300 yards that game. So what you are telling me is that Harris is no where as good as the Southern Miss quarterback. That our recievers cant get seperarion from the corners like SMU? Maybe our o-line can't pass block like SMU? 413 total yards of offense put up by SMU, LSU 337. Looks like SMU had a better game plan than our geniuses. Your moronic coach almost lost another one because of his love to sit on a lead. Its sickening watching these tight games that should never be close in the end. But hey we won right? Harris really got alot of reps passing against an SEC opponent right? The reps he got on the field will really help him with reading and reacting to future defenses. I mean handing the ball off that many times just builds so much confidence in a young qb and shows just how much you trust you have in him as a passer.

We all want us to win, and we did, but it was on pure luck in the end, which I dont exactly want happening game after game.

If we are only up 2 against every team and allow them to take a 47 yard FG to win it we're going to lose some games, just a fact of life. That delay of game penalty was GIGANTIC luck for us, because it pushed that MSU kicker out of range clearly.

Look, I was frustrated with the lack of a passing game in the 2nd half too, but if you're really gonna sit there and say out coaching staff had nothing to do with the progression Zach Mettenberger showed from his first year as the starting QB for LSU and his second, then you're just fooling yourself

If anyone thinks we are going to run against 10 men in the box and maintain a 78/22 Run/Pass ratio all year long and somehow be successful, frick off. You're an idiot.

If you think we will somehow improve our QB's by throwing 13 passes in a game, only 4 of them on 1st down, again frick off. You're an idiot.

shite has to change or we are staying right where we were last year. We have a championship caliber team being coached down. Arguing this point is a fool's errand and those who try to are-one last time-fricking idiots.

I'm pretty sure Mettenberger gives Cam all of the credit for his success. Les just doesn't trust young QBs. It's funny because he completely trusts young CBs, young RBs, young DEs, ... You get the idea

Just ignore the lsu fans that say lsu sucks at developing QB talent...what do the experts say? Are you implying QB development at lsu is not an issue?

This is what I hate most about Les's play not to lose style. We are too often faced with situations where we depend on the only team to mess up.

It is the stupidest coaching philosophy in the game of football. It's like saying instead on learning to defend myself I am going to hope that bully makes a mistake kicking my arse. Now I know the arse kicking is coming regardless, but I'm banking on him throwing a few wild punches and I'm going to play defense. I'm not throw any punches because I am scared to throw the punches and I hope to walk away from the fight with the W.

We come on a board like this to talk football and part of that is to question coaching. That's what this is here for. I don't remember having to submit a resume to voice an opinion.

You "opinion" was that I had Les' head up my arse (which doesn't make any sense) so I'm asking you why should I listen to you over Les Miles.

You make the bold proclamations so let's hear why your opinion is more valid than Less Mile's opinion.

Richt was flying in every week to coach up Mett that year.

How many other qbs can we list as being successfully developed under miles?

I guess to open it up we have to have elite nfl arm talent to do so?

It was only 2 years ago we were throwing the ball all over the yard. Same coaches.

Perhaps Harris, Dural and DuPre are not Mett, OBJ and Landry?

Yeah, so lets teach to spray the ball around only on third downs. Where he has the greatest chance to fail

You ever stop to think that Mile's style offense allows us to win without NFL level qb talent?
That's a positive because NFL qb talent is rare.

Not at all. I would just like to see us pass when it's 3rd and 5 and there are 9 guys in the box. An occasional pass on first down would be nice too.

Maybe we couldn't do these things with Jordan Jefferson or Anthony Jennings, but Brandon Harris is fully capable of it. Just about every other team does it, so why don't we?

Why don't you want lsu to be as good as they can be? You don't need nfl arms to hurt opponents with the pass in college football. All we want is to be a threat with the pass and prevent teams from stacking the box against us...what is so wrong with that? Why is wanting the coaches to utilize our weapons better so bad for you CLM lovers?

If we were going to war would you rather our generals just dropped in ground troops or would you rather soften up the opponent with air attacks?
