Some twitter gems

“Are we sure DJ isn’t just the unfrozen version of Ted Williams”

“DJ Lemahieu- the guy that invented hitting a baseball”

He was supposed to a spot player for the Yanks but I think he has an everyday spot locked up

Gonna take a decade or so of great play to be a legend in that franchise but it’s nice to see him performing well.

Awesome to hear DJ is doing great. But it has been like 10-15 games and it is the Yankees. Lets slow down on the whole "legend" thing.

He is becoming a Yankee and MLB star. It got me thinking as to which of Mainieri’s players became the top players in the pros. I’d say the top 3 is definitely Alex Bregman, Aaron Nola, and DJ Lemahieu

Love DJ but Bregman and Nola are in another league apart from him right now.

I’m no Braves fan, but really glad he got out of that dumpster fire in Baltimore

I understand but my point is I think he’s 3rd on the list of Mainieri’s best MLB players. Either him or Gausman. Bregman and Nola are no doubt the best of Mainieri’s MLB players

DJ is a career .300 hitter at the major league level. I would say they need sustained success to catch him.

Nola and Bregman certainly have a higher ceiling, but to not many people hit .300 for a career at that level.

He wasn’t a starter with yankees until an injury

DJ also has three gold gloves. Between 2015-17, he hit .301, .348, and .310 before dropping back to .276 last year. The guy has been a really good to excellent hitter, plus among the best at his position defensively.
