One of my all time favorite Tigers. He was more known for his bat, but I'm glad to see his glove is at an elite level. Great to see former Tigers excelling!

Gold Glove Finalist

This play certainly helps his odds

If this wasn't a popularity contest most of the time, DJ would win in a landslide. His dWAR is one of the best in the majors and is far better than anyone else at his position. But watch Brandon Phillips win it because he has won it before and is a better hitter. Really a shame because DJ deserves it.

Name of the game in baseball. If you check stats on guys who were 13 or 14 time all-stars you'll notice they should have been left off a number of those teams.

Best of luck to DJ.

Mines as well.

He didn't even make the all-conference team his two years at LSU and yet in some odd way I almost put in the same class as other elite baseball players (Furness, Walker, Larson etc)

Again I'm probably in the minority, but I put his double in Game 1 of the series final as the second greatest hit in LSU baseball history.
