Did we really expect anything less on D and O vs TT?

It was refreshing to see our offense put up 50+ in a game. I'm happy for LF, the D.. and Harris was great in the 2nd half. But let's get something straight, this was Texas Tech. I expect that vs an inferior team who is clearly outmatched on both sides of the line (someone predicted the same score in the SEC rant.) And The claims that there was some philosophical change on offense, I didn't see any significant change except a wrinkle or 2- which is normal in bowl games. We imposed our will on a less talented, smaller team. This was no SEC team. Claiming that there was some big change simply isn't true.

I'm aware that next year hasn't started yet, so I didn't expect much change on offense this soon (hoping that Miles actually does what he says he'll do) And although I'm glad our D was good, I expected that. We have a lot more talent and are a lot more physical than TT.

A few changes I did notice- We didn't play down to our opponent and there didn't seem to be any confusion on offense that usually causes us to waste time outs.

Did you read this board recently? Plenty of our "fans" were stroking themselves at the thought of a loss to TT

Before the game there were fans that were saying lsu would get blown out. Now the narrative of the same people has changed to "but it was just Texas Tech".

Goal posts are moving at rapid speed on this board this morning by the usual suspects.

This. Embarrassing. But their tunes have changed to some other ridiculous program bashing method.

No, I can't say I did. I don't hang around TD as much as I used to. I only come when something big is brewing or during big game. Makes sense tho.

Good point. We clearly played down to Arky- which led me to bring up playing down to inferior opponents.

Wow.. seriously? For the record, I damn sure wasn't one of them. I was upset that they matched us against TT. I felt we deserved a better opponent.

Well, the experts, and I am talking Vegas and not the Rant, sure the hell didn't expect a 56-27 win by LSU.

While the win was not surprising, the margin of the win certainly was. imo

On offense, no. I expected to move and score at will, TT is the worst defense in D-1 college football and they were being coached by interns going into the bowl game.

But I will say defensively we seemed to play with more passion and intensity than I expected. I was impressed with the energy and effort. If their QB hadn't made so many spectacular and really unbelievable plays they don't even get the 27 they got. D stepped it up I thought.

Oh thanks for setting us straight. I'll stop being happy for a dominating win, now.

I understand. I agreed with someone who predicted a similar score, but I was worried we'd play down to them. I knew we were capable!
