That 2019 football team seemed to get better every week. In fact, the team did not appear to hitting on all cylinders until the Georgia game. Then they got even better in the first round of the playoffs.

In the scheme of things it doesn't matter, but it's cool to think that, as good as they were, they were still improving at the end of the season. As scary as that thought is.

I think they just were able to turn it on when they needed to.

1st half of OU.

That game could’ve been nasty, but we took the foot off the gas.

There were 2 reasons:
1. Look at the players on defense that were suspended during the season. SEVERAL.
2. Look at the injuries in defense and who they got back by the TAMU game.

They simply had their entire team playing together for a few weeks.

Offense... it wasn't until late in the season that everything was clicking.
Early on, Burrow and the 3 WRs were amazing. Then, Clyde emerged at RB, but Marshall was hurt awhile. So it really wasn't until the end that Marshall was back and shaking off the rust, and CEH continued to show out.

Defense... it took awhile for things to fall into place. Sure, we were winning by 30, but it was 60-30. Vandy and particularly Ole Miss were embarrassing, and that's what resulted in some question as to whether we were really #1 or not. Again, late into the season that seemed to resolve.

UGA and Oklahoma were good teams, that we destroyed. I thought OU was gonna score with us better, but at that point our defense had rounded into form. And there's really no words for what our offense did to them. That was merciless.

They could have scored 100 on Oklahoma if they really wanted to. Like a video game.

I would definitely say the first half of the OU game. In fact, over the next 3+ quarters after that half, we were outscored by 10 pts. Of course that was soon rendered irrelevant when we outscored Clemson 35-8 from that point forward.

Its funny to look back and after 5 games we had no running game and no defense. Hell after 10 games it looked as if we had a shite defense. Like the bullpen this year, that defense did a 180 late in the season.

I believe the media said after the game that’s one of the Top-10 worst losses in Sooner football history.

This is when we put it all together. We got Delpit back and the defense made a statement after we were dropped to #2 in the CFP rankings. Then of course we got back to #1 after the Georgia game.

That was the peak that we rode all the way to the thrashing of Sunshine and beak nose.

The first half of the OU game was as close to a perfect half of football you will ever see. It was unreal.

I say no because I think that defense had room to improve even though they were really good at the end.

I'll never forget that damn game. It was over halfway through the second quarter. We could've scored 100 if we wanted.

I thought the Virginia Tech game in 2007 was a beatdown..... This was a flat out annihilation.

I have never been more confident in a bet in my life than LSU -17 vs A&M.

The Aggies were set up for an arse-kicking that night and they got one. It was a perfect storm of several factors:

--We were getting better game by game, and the defense had gotten its shite together.

--It was Burrow's senior night

--Our players were still pissed about 74-72 from the year before.

No way were we not winning by a big number that night.
