this is just a PR move, won't mean shite though. we will still get dicked around with scheduling, refs, etc....

Two way street. Slive makes good deals, but Florida and Georgia to a lesser degree make the SEC lots of money (once those deals were in place).
But yes I think this is the case of bringing in someone to lower the appearance of bias.
