Correct. Such as your coach asking your place kicker to make field goals from the parking lot.

But it also doesn't mean that LSU didn't inflict some mistakes on you. Either way, both are moot points. 9-6, Gump.

This could totally turn out to be a stupid question according to TR standards lol , and I've stated this before. How many top teams did LSU go against this season? How many actually scored on our defense? I don't need the answer as its right in front of my face. Bama has a powerful defense I'll give them that, but it wasn't powerful enough to keep LSU out of their red zone. Yet AUBURN got past our Defense. Bama to me?? not worth all the hype

Seriously?? I've not once said that we were/are the better team and that there should be no discussion about who is #2. Quit throwing out petty labels just to make yourself feel a little tougher, you coonass corndog.

Man, you are brilliant. I just assumed that was implied by my statement that ya'll were the better team that day. How dumb of me.

we beat them bc we were better. better offense, better defense, better special teams and better coaches. and youll see a better display in the BCSNCG if saban begs hard enough to get them in that is.

No, Kitty Cat, that was all BAMA!!!!! DUH! The have Nick Saban! When your offense makes mistakes, it's because of Bama's Defense! When Bama's offense/defense/special teams/coaching staff/ cafeteria workers, it's still all BAMA!

You see, at the UAT, everything revolves around them. The other team is pretty much the equiviliant to a seat filler at an awards show. They show up, take the field, and perform, but really, everyone is just waiting for the infalliable Nick Saban to lead the mighty Crimson Tide and thier "thirteen" national championships. Therefore, since it is strictly Alabama's performance, only when Alabama misses a step can defeat be possible. Absolutely no way anyone could possibly beat Alabama, because, as you know, they really aren't even playing anyone.

We gave up 3 whole points more than y'all. No one kicked anyone's arse.

I'm not trolling. I'm paraphrasing.

In all fairness, it's nothing I've really heard from you personally, but I have read/heard PLENTY of these excuses throughout this board and media at large.

It is excrutiatingly frustrating to have a season like this and get very little positive attention from the media.

I understand that, but no one is debating your standing atop the polls; no one at all. This entire discussion would probably not be taking place had a)LSU stomped a hole in our skulls on 11/5 or b)OK St, Stan and Oregon all not lost in one weekend

Why are the "self-inflicted mistakes" only counted for the team that lost as to why they lost. The team that won the game had "self-inflicted mistakes" also.....

That's not why we lost; never said that. And sure your team did, every team in every game does. But you won, so those aren't then used a significant teaching points.

Anyway - I'm hungry. I'll be back later.

"That's what I heard!"-Bill Murray, Ghostbusters

It's just a pulled punch jab. No harm intended.

And, no, one can debate our being at the top of the polls. We have made sure of that this season. My point is that from one source or another has been "so and so weren't who we thought they were" after we beat them by double digits, or "Alabama beat themselves".

Look, in 2008 and 2009, Alabama beat us. I can list a multitude of excuses, but bottom line is that yall beat us because the scoreboard, the only stat that matters, said yall beat us. This year it's bee "we made too many mistakes" or, even worse "The best team lost on November 5th".

I guess it's my own fault for listening to all of these people when your team makes such exclamatory statements on the scoreboard, but, it still gets to you.
