It bothers me that Paul says lsu has a lot to play for, and then mentions individual awards and an arbitrary "50 win season total" as if those things are important this week. How about, "We have everything to play for. Win three games in a row and we play for the national championship next week."?
Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling hard for Poche to get the record.

Last time poche threw with the pressure of a record (started) he left the game with zero control and sobbing into a towel. Hope he handles the pressure better this time.

I can see where your going with this. You believe that the coach "cursed" his team with those comments. He was basically saying, "I don't see us winning another game", right? And, you would likely also contend that the players must have picked up on that and just decided to turn this trip into a small vacation.

He's trying to get them to focus on one game instead of thinking of the monumental task ahead of them needing to win 5 more.
