They got him an elite and familiar pass catcher and spent 3 picks on offensive line (a 2nd, a 4th, and a 6th). Is that enough to keep him off his back this year?

What are the true odds a 6th round pick even makes the roster? Basically that’s one and a half offensive linemen.

A 6th round pick at their draft position has a great chance of making the roster. Especially since it’s a position of need.

They picked up Reiff in the off season too. I would have liked to see them get a lineman sooner in the draft. Pairing Higgins and Chase is nice. The tight end situation could be better. Pookah adds an interesting dynamic if he's ready for the stage.

He might get hit a little less than last year but not by much

Should be an interesting duo. And I think it will push Higgins.

Not enough top end O linemen. ESPN said the second round OL they picked will likely struggle early. He needs help NOW

They have gotten marginally better this offseason. But are still likely to be picking pretty early in next years draft. Hopefully they will snag an elite off tackle and make some serious noise in 2022.

Yeah. They pretty much made him GM and judging from their recent history that may not be a bad idea.

Not sure.

But I do know that Joe and Chase won’t connect for very many TDs if the Bengals can’t keep Joe from getting hit constantly

I do find the Jackson Carman pick interesting. Who knows, he might actually be a great guard? He's never played guard in his life; he might find it to be easy compared to Left Tackle taking on speed rushers. According to Bengals site, Willie Anderson and Andrew Whitworth have worked with him, and Willie gave his recommendation on the pick.

Who knows if Whitworth gave his recommendation...he's not part of the Bengals organization. I looked him up and see he's still playing for the Rams. Wow.

I think the offense speeds up and those long drops end. Nice weapons on offense with the best receiver in a while going to them. The OL probably continue to improve and the draft picks are decent, especially Jackson Carman. I look forward to watching them get to 7-8 wins this year.
