Its just smart. He knew LSU would be a huge hurtle for them. Doesnt hurt that he established relationships around the state before he left. Now hes hiring la hs coaches on his staff. LSU fans should hate this guy, yet they want to dick ride him. Oh and even if Les was fired tom, Saban aint coming back.

60 Minutes did an episode on him. He said he can 'turn it off' when necessary.

This...he coached me at UHigh for 2 years. he was one of the most enjoyable and entertaining coaches I ever played for. He can certainly be a normal dude when wants to but when he coaches he acts crazy (in a good way). One of the better coaches I played for, made football a lot of fun. Despite being at Bama he's a good dude.

Gayle Hatch called into Matt's show earlier in the week talking about his system and where his coaches are in the College/Pros etc. He said Cochran has always been like that.

The Hatch system is the key, not only Moffitt

I asked Hatch what would happen if you took a team (UHigh for instance) and had them training under the Hatch system from 6th grade into HS.

He said they would physically destroy teams and it would be unfair.

This is true. My wife and brother in law went to school with the cochran brothers. they were all a bit high strung according to them. Bro in law got in an elementary scrap with one of the brothers. Bro in law still holds a grudge to this day.

I was buds with him growing up while attending middle school. We hung out at each others house often playing tecmo bowl. He was the super cool kid, and would never back down from a fight no matter the opponent. He was big into playing sports back then and was good at it. He was a leader. He had a Fun and humorous personality. We lost touch when he switched schools; I saw him out throughout college and after graduation. Good guy. Great personality for the job that he has.

He actually worked for UHigh. I think he did special teams because I would see him at games gathering the kickoff and punt peams when it was time for them. Also my nephew said he did the summer weight program for the athletes until he got a GA at LSU. Supposedly he was normal back then and not the showman he is now.

Also, my nephew who player varsity basketball for Ari Fisher the year before they had that 3 or 4 year run with Big Baby Garrett et. al said he kept the clock at Boys' basketball games. For extra money I suppose..the word was that Fisher got him the gig at UHigh.

This is all from my nephew who went to UHigh from 1997-2000 so it might be bad information.
