Did anyone else get emotional when Strall pitched last night?

Collin Strall has given LSU his greatest effort for 4 years, and I got to tell you, when he threw that strike out in the 8th, I couldn't help but tear up a bit. I'm happy that he has finally gotten his act together on the mound.

This is bizarre. And that's coming from someone who isn't ashamed of a good cry.

Is there some other Colin Strall I'm not aware of? The one on our roster transferred in from JUCO as a sophomore, so he hasn't given LSU effort for 4 years.

ETA: He also didn't pitch in the 8th inning last night.

The only emotions I had were....oh no, here we go again, followed by pleasantly surprised, followed by feeling bad for the kid that his effort was wasted

He deserved the win; period!

Offense had plenty of opportunities to score the winning run and just fell short.

They need to work on two strike situations.

I think you teared up a bit due to side effects from the controlled substances you must have been taking last night. Strall didn't enter the game til the 11th and this is only his 3rd year here....

Other than that, you are spot on.

I thought Strall did admirable and his final line didnt justify how well he did......but at no point was I anywhere near emotional enough in an early season midweek game vs UNO to be moved to tears...... thats Rudy level shite right there

Except for the part about where Strall has only been here 3 years.

I guess technically he could be thinking of Reynolds who is a senior that did strike a guy out in the 8th. But he's in his 5th year, so still off there.

Strall actually has been here 3 years...only pitched about 3 innings last year and got a redshirt.

(I couldn't tell if you were questioning this, or still making fun of the OP. My apologies if you knew this already)
