All I can think is that Satan wanted LSU to win.
That's why calls went our way. Unlike the 4 holdings on Hurt's td run last year.

they said that White should have been flagged for targeting on Stidham

bull shite. I saw that play and was not drinking. what the hell is a rusher supposed to do? he was right of the QB damn near standing up; if he lowers his head it's targeting but he just kept going and their facemasks touched. I believe in protecting players but this targeting thing is starting to become arbitrary with some refs. some are obvious of course but but there are definitely times where rushers can't avoid a helmet "kiss". as long as the rushers head is up and it's not a late hit it should not be targeting. these damn announcers are pathetic at times.

I was actually surprised it wasn't called.

he hit him with his sternum.

His sternum? Their facemask touched. Targeting could've easily been called and if the teams were reversed this board would have overloaded and crashed. I don't really think it should've been called because it wasn't forcible contact. But to say they it wasn't helmet to helmet is a bit ridiculous.

He hit him in the center of his back but letup and ref rewarded him for doing that. His momentum was carrying there. Watch the player when he hits ground. He knew he might be in trouble. The defender didn't fall which proves to me he let up last sec. if he falls I guarantee the flag is thrown but it didn't affect the defender enough to warrant a penalty imo

Are you serious? You do know what helmet to helmet is right? Don't be confused with facemask to facemask!!

point of contact is chest to chest first, then head clearly out of the way.

I heard that and it was ridiculous. Had White dropped his head and led with his helmet it would have been targeting.

But then again, if our eyes saw the world differently, maybe we would perceive the daytime sky as pink.

White went in straight up, chest to chest. There is nothing illegal at all in that play.

White is a player. I have noticed him pull off of hits that would have been borderline in several games. I am sure that this does not go unnoticed by officials. They know he is not a dirty player and plays clean and smart. This style earns him the benefit of the doubt on borderline plays.

O-line was better, but wasn't great. Our tackles need to improve, I think Weatherbsy and/or Malone gets back in the lineup when ready/healthy. Etling was hurried on nearly 1/3 of his dropbacks and we couldn't run between the tackles (2.6 YPC between the tackles isn't getting it done).

It wasn't targeting and the routine plays that should be targeting aren't called. They tend to only call it when a play is impressive looking.

With that said, the coaches need to pound it in White's head to be careful of tackling guys high because we have seen refs call it on some questionable ones and if there is one guy we can't lose in any game, it's White. Just go a little lower to be safe. They're going down either way.

White hit Stidham with this chest. I'm not even sure if there was incidental head-to-head contact.
