Another Devin White Appreciation thread because he is a MAN amongst Boys. Cant wait to watch him de-cleat some ole miss receivers trying to come across the middle.

That is one big mo fo tackling machine. I'm glad he's on our side! His leadership on defense is almost as valuable as his ability to tackle everyone on the offense.

Didn't know until I heard on Sports Today that he came here as a running back. Coaches told him he'd see the field a lot sooner if he moved to defense. Looks like it was a wise choice!! Quickly becoming one of my favorite Tigers. Even as a sophomore you can tell he's the leader on the team. Seems mature beyond his years.

Wow i completely forgot about that. Youre right, i do remember him coming here as a RB/FB option with people saying he was going to switch to LB.
He looks like hell to try and tackle..

it was one of those "yeah you can play RB here" evil laugh recruiting moments
i think he was moved to LB after 1-2 practices
however, long-term, LB is a much better position to play. i'm glad it will work out for DW b/c he's a BEEAAASSST

Impressive pic, but this guy's speed is what sets him apart. I am just amazed at how quickly a guy his size gets from point A to point B.

Sooo, I know it will never happen,but it would be awesome to trot Devin out with the offense 1 time and play action pass just to freak out a defense. If I was on D and saw that come out and line up in the backfield....

Shows you how much of a smart athlete he is. Some boys grow up playing one position all their life, get to high school, and can’t make it as an NCAA player. Devin White just learned how to be the quarterback of the DEFENSE in a year, and is one of the best in the nation. Monster...

You could tell he was just “ different” even last year . The way he moved for someone his size is just freaky to see. Similar to Fournette, but 30 pounds heavier. Idk what his 40 time is but I would venture it’s 4.5ish .

Hes NFL ready right now. Hes the best ILB @LSU that Ive seen and Ive been watching for a while. He is amazing!

For sure if it hadnt been for Beckwith and Riley, he wouldve started last year and wouldve for most teams. He arguably won the A&M game with a play that I still keep running over and over.

ETA: FWIW because this is kind of third hand but I heard someone on one of the local radio shows say that "an NFL scout" told him "Devin White could start for us right now."
