Ok, just to get a few of ya'll thinking on a Monday morning, I am just as excited about Buga and all the national pub as everyone else but chew on this:

2015 2014
Total Off 75th 80th
Rush Off 5th 25th
Pass Off 125th 116th
First downs 18 per game 20 per game

Total D 36th 9th
Rush D 22nd 47th
Pass D 68th 3rd
Sacks tied 4th couldn't find

TO margin tied 23rd tied 95th

Looks like we got some work to do guys. I love watching number 7 as much as the next guy, and I realize we have played 2 SEC games to other teams cream puffs. But those 2 SEC teams are finishing near the bottom of our division. We better use Syracuse and E Michigan to develop a passing game. Looking at those stats I see that coach O has made a HUGE difference, and that Fournette and the line is unbelievable, but not seeing how much else has changed.
Hope this team just keep gets better, I love their chemistry and business like attitude right now. I am one of the biggest fans of Harris on this board, ready to see them unleash the offense.

It's only been 2 games and most of those yards through the air came in garbage time

Defense was tired at that point. We stopped throwing at the 2nd quarter; hard to convert 1st downs that way

Our Dline looked gassed in the second half against State. Dak had plenty of time to throw. Our pass D wasn't that great in the second half but it's a team effort to control great QB's like Dak.

Both games we had an early lead causing them both to play catch up and pass

Standard Deviation of a set with 2 data points is beyond silliness

I don't think we should be worried. Miles will open up the playbook for Harris by the time we play another big game. Offense will be flowing, defense will be fresh. It all works together.

But should we? Bame is number 9 rush defense. That being said Ole Miss ranked 75th at this point. Number 6 needs all the work he can get going into that November gauntlet

I realize the secondary will get better but the disparity between 3rd and 68th is still pretty glaring, particularly when we are DBU.

with the way LF was running through Auburn Saturday, I don't see how anyone could say that we should have passed more

That's my point. That was the reason the numbers were skewed. By the time we play our next big game, our offense will be more complete and balanced.

True dat, it should all look better after an Orange asswhipping, but like I said Devil's advocate

Perception is Reality I guess, National Media LOVING us, everyone has us top 5, are we that different of a team right now? I say yes, because all these guys are a year older and no longer true frosh, but Les and the rest of the coaches need to get them ready for the stretch, take the foot off the brakes

This board needs more devil's advocate, but you're pulling from one season versus two games.

Our passing game will be fine. Or running game may be getting much better. Our pass D is awesome and will improve as well. Even against NFL defenses, 2 minute type offenses with lots of quick passes will be very effective. They're just not as effective in the red zone.

I would like to see plays over 20 yds this year vs last year.

Also I think our pass defense has been on bend not break mold. The long run by JJ we didn't even have a MLB. The first half of the games we have been solid on D.
