Deunta Williams not coming

UNC linebackers Quan Sturdivant and Bruce Carter have been cleared by the NCAA and will play against LSU in Saturday night's game in Atlanta, team spokesman Kevin Best said tonight.
Tar Heels safety Deunta Williams will not play against LSU. He is one of now seven players who have been found in violation of NCAA and/or school rules and are being held out of the game.
Sturdivant and Carter are on their way to Atlanta tonight to join the team, Best said. In total, 13 players, including nine starters - seven of them on defense - will be held out of the game.

It seems like UNC defense is the greatest thing of all time. I'm tired of hearing how god like they are I'm ready to see them play

We won't know much about our O except execution against their #2s, but I'm eager to see what our D does vs mostly intact line. I want to see P&G in the backfield.

i don't care if any of them play or they all play. but damn. a decision needs to be made by at least Monday of game week to at least give the other team a chance to prepare.

Miles said he prepared for the starters. I just hope if "Wizard" up in the booth sees a UNC weakness, he can recognize it and call a play. Sometimes I worry he has a hat up there he pulls plays out of.
