Stingley gonna make some bank this year. Good for him

I see some jealous loser is mad these kids are getting opportunities to earn money while literally everyone else associated wit them gets to get paid and benefit off their talents.

The match point folks feel kind of slimey. Were they really needed to match up stingley and walk ons?

I don’t like this NIL stuff at all, but I’m not going to blame the MatchPoint guys for it. You think the Stingley-Walk On’s partnership is the only deal they will help close?

No I'm sure they'll get their % of a ton of deals they weren't needed for

I'm not sure they'll end up taking off with this endeavor like they anticipate but hey who knows

Probably not but it probably makes it a lot easier on Stingley’s end. Do pro athletes need agents? No but it makes the process go a lot smoother.

no, they're mad because this is a slippery slope that could transform college sports to basically a pro league. We already have pro sports, college sports is different.

But we fear it's headed down that path and could destroy what makes college ball different (and far, far better) than pro ball.

And players already get plenty - full ride tuition, the use of billions of dollars worth of facilities, coaching, nutritionists, therapists, tutors, massive exposure playing under the LSU brand, etc, etc, etc.

The only difference is that these kids aren't on salary. It basically is a amateur pro league already. These kids take bullshite classes, have to practice around the clock, fill stadiums to 100k capacity, etc. You have people who haven't attended college in decades or at all, cheering for a team because simply it is "their team". It has nothing to do with education. If people are against players being paid a salary, fine, I can see how that could get really complicated but to be against them making money off of their own name and likeness, that is just stupid.

You do realize that college ball is already tainted with deals that happen under the table right lol? You think seeing players on billboards and local commercials will hurt college football? The thing that makes college ball great is the recruiting aspect and the atmosphere. That won't change

the image you have in your head of kids playing for the love of the school hasn't been the case for quite some time. The blue bloods are just pro football factories now, put your 3 maybe 4 years in and move on. The only difference now is the top 1% can make some money off their image.
