If this defense resembles anything close to 2011, Tigers will be in the ship. This offense is vastly more talented than the 2011 offense. Stay healthy and hungry and it will work out.

and pray Leslie let's things open up.

We have the potential to have a better front 7 and I think we will, but that 2011 secondary was the best in college fb history. Claiborne(1st rounder), Mathieu(pro bowler), Reid(pro bowler), Taylor, Simon(legion of boom)- those guys were the big time play makers on that team. And consider what total shite the secondary was with Steele last year. I appreciate the enthusiasm and hope you're right, but we'really gonna need the O from '13 to match our current D to go all the way!

I honestly don't see how our front 7 could be better than 2011. Arden and Godcheaux are our best returning lineman IMO and they wouldn't have been better than their respective positions in 2011.
At LB we return beckwith but the other position is unproven to this point. Maybe Beckwith gives us a small edge at LB but no way at DL.

Hard to compare front 7's when we will be running a 3-4 vs a 4-3 in 2011

What? Id take Randle,OBJr, and Landry over our current wr corp.
I also find it hard to believe our 2016 oline will be better than 2011 oline that dominated every game except the national tile game.

It is almost impossible for our 2016 dline to have 8 future nfl players like 2011. People saying our 2016 front 7 is better than 2011 are crazy. We had future nfl players sitting on the bench in 2011.

It wasnt even the best lsu secondary. 2010 lsu secondary was more talented and 2001 Miami was just as good if not better( 2001 miami had 6 dbs ended up drafted in the 1st round)

We had 18 INTs, 16 FF, 13 FR (most coming from our secondary) against 8 ranked opponents. Give me lsu 2010 and Miami 2001 #'s and then let's talk!

And defensive yards per play. The national champ has ranked in the top 5 9 of the last 11 years i think. I think the only champs that werent top 5 were ohio state and auburn. I could be remembering it wrong.
